What a fantastic morning!  Thank you to all of you who got up extra early this morning to join us for our annual birdwatch.  There were more than 50 people there.  If you want to take part in the RSPB Garden Birdwatch this weekend, here’s a link .  Jake Dunn’s bird collective nouns quiz is here too!

A GOOD SCHOOL – OFSTED REPORT

We are delighted to be able to say that the result of the recent Ofsted inspection of the school has been released.  Ofsted found the school to be ‘Good’ in all areas.  A copy of the report can be seen here – Ofsted Report January 2016 and it will be posted on the Ofsted website by 11th February.  Thank you to all of you for your support.

Parent Questionnaire 2015

Many thanks to those of you who completed the parent questionnaire at Parents Evening recently.  We were very pleased with the outcomes, with satisfaction rates often running in the 90% + range.

However, the condition of the school grounds is one area we have picked up on.  Although this is still rated high (80% satisfied or better) there were a number  who said they were dissatisfied.  Unfortunately, we do not know in what way they were dissatisfied!  If you have any comments on this, please let Mr. Robertson know.  Thank you.

The full results can be seen here.

Lucy Frazer MP Visits the School

On Friday 13th November, Lucy Frazer, our local MP visited the school.   She enjoyed a tour of the school getting to say hello to all the pupils before having a question and answer session with the School Council.  She was impressed by what she saw.  Her answer to their final question ‘What do you think about our School?’ was ‘I think this is a great school with a dynamic head where children have fun learning.’

Children In Need Day

What a super day!  Well done to all the children and parents who worked extremely hard to create spots and stripes costumes for the non-uniform day; baked and decorated cakes for the cake break and sent pennies to cover Pudsey.  We raised a super £255 for Children In Need.  Thank you again!
