Week beginning 2nd March
This week Rabbit Class having been busy working on their fraction skills. They also enjoyed dressing up for World Book Day and designing a story themed poster for their classroom door.

Week beginning 24th February
This week we enjoyed investigating the effects of exercise on our bodies during our science lesson. We had to work with a partner to plan a series of short exercise activities and then record how many star jumps, hops etc we could complete within one minute. Then we had to think about how our bodies felt immediately afterwards.

Week beginning 10th February
Rabbit Class have had another busy week learning about shape during our Maths lessons. They have also enjoyed learning about how germs spread and the importance of handwashing, in Science.

Week beginning 3rd February
This week, Rabbit Class have been learning about hygiene and why humans need to keep clean in their Science lessons. They have also been out and about, enjoying Forest School.

After reading the story The Valley of the Ants from the storybook My First Quran, we thought about all the small creatures that live in our forest area and how we must care for them. Some of us designed special ' Bug Hotels' we thought they might enjoy.

Week beginning 27.1.20
What a busy week this has been! In Maths, we have enjoyed learning about block diagrams and how to interpret information. Science has had us thinking about diet and the sorts of food we should eat to maintain a healthy lifestyle. We were also lucky enough to have Mr Sheldrick visit us with his fantastic vintage car.
Our ideas of foods we should eat a lot of, sometimes and only as a treat.

Week Beginning 20.1.20
This week Rabbit Class have enjoyed learning about pictograms in our Maths lessons. We have been learning both how to draw them and how to interpret information from them.
Then in our history lessons, we have been learning about the Wright Brothers and their Wright Flyer, the first plane to fly. We wrote some super magazine articles about the event in our English lessons too.
Week beginning 14.1.20
This week Rabbit Class have enjoyed learning about the story of Moses. First we watched a powerpoint presentation of the story and afterwards discussed key events. Then we were set the challenge of working in groups to order the events from the story ourselves. We had lots of fun working together!
Week beginning 7.1.20
Rabbit Class have had a super start to the New Year and have all been working extremely hard.
In our Maths lessons, we have been using our division skills to solve worded problems.
Then in Science, we have been finding out all about animals and their babies. We were very good at deciding if the animal came from an egg, or was born.

Week beginning 15th December 2019
This week as well as enjoying the run up to Christmas, Rabbit Class have been thinking about 'Winter' and enjoyed painting these wonderful snowmen for our new display in the cloakroom.
Week beginning 9th December 2019
This week has been an exciting week for Rabbit Class with the nativity production of 'Prickly Hay'. The children all enjoyed taking on various acting and narrating roles, as well as participating in singing the many songs we have been practising along with Ladybird and Hedgehog classes. We hope you like the pictures of us in our costumes.
We have also been very busy learning about Arrays, and using our knowledge of these to solve both multiplication and division problems.
Week beginning 2nd December 2019
This week Rabbit Class have been enjoying the story of Babushka. We began by listening to the story before sequencing and retelling the story to each other. Afterwards, we wrote some super 'Missing Person' reports in the hope that someone might spot her.

This week Rabbit Class have been working really hard in their Maths lessons, learning how to calculate and check change.
Week beginning 18th November 2019
We had lots of fun on Thursday morning, exploring nature and learning how to start a fire. As it was cold, hot chocolate and marshmallows were really welcoming too!

This week in English, after reading the story of Snow White in New York, we planned our own Snow White stories.
We also had lots of fun doing gymnastics at The Hive in Ely.

Week Beginning 4th November
This week we have been very busy in Maths learning to subtract a 2 digit number from a 2 digit number.
On Friday, we also celebrated completing our work on Castles by having a 'Castle Day'.
Dressing up for the event was lots of fun and the 'banquet' was very exciting too.
Week beginning 28th October
This week in our science lesson we have been busy investigating the absorbency of paper towels. We enjoyed working in small teams and ensured everybody had a role.
Week beginning 7th October 2019
This week we have been very busy using a range of materials and techniques in Design and Technology to make our own model castles. Some of us used our knowledge from our history lessons to create our designs whilst others created fairy-tale castles.
Week beginning 30th September 2019
This week Rabbit Class have been learning about the Jewish festival of Sukkot. They particularly enjoyed working in small groups to make their own models of a Sukkah.
Week beginning 9th September 2019
In Science, they have been on a learning walk around the school to identify which materials objects and buildings are made from.
This week in English, Rabbit Class have been learning to extend sentences by using subordination. They have practiced joining clauses and have now started to include their own extended sentences in their writing.

This week in Maths, Rabbit Class have been learning about place value. They have been very busy partitioning numbers using a range of resources.
Then in Art, they have enjoyed making collages, using seeds.
Week beginning 4th September 2019
-Rabbit class have been recognising numbers as tens and ones. We have been matching numbers as words and numerals.
-In our Computing lesson, Rabbit class used the tools in ‘Paint’ to create castle pictures and saved them to their folders.
